Brand Guidelines —
When Sally Beauty's external agency, Instruments, delivered a refreshed brand identity, the guidelines arrived as a document, not a system. With three months to implement across every channel, the creative team needed more than a PDF.
So I built two parallel libraries, a Figma template library and an Adobe CC shared library, that translated the new brand standards into tools designers could actually use. I acted as brand steward throughout, reviewing work against the guidelines, integrating feedback from leadership and in-market testing, and evolving the brand book as the system matured. The dual-library approach was deliberate since not everyone on the team or at the agencies were Figma-first, so I met them where they worked.
Creative execution became more consistent across internal teams and agency partners. The brand book continued to evolve as a living document.
